At Better Educational Outcomes, our goal is to help walk Parents through the often daunting special education process. We can help you through all phases of the special education process, from the initial IEP meeting through post-secondary services. Our goal is to support families and caregivers and to enable them to have a voice at the IEP table and to ensure all students have access to a free and appropriate public education (“FAPE”).
Meet The Team

Katie Vetere
Education Advocate
Katie is an educator, advocate, and proud mom. She began her career teaching elementary education in NYC public schools as a Gifted and Talented educator. After having her first child, she transitioned to a public school in New Jersey, where she continued supporting students in the classroom for several years. As her family grew, she shifted to virtual teaching and private tutoring, working with students of all ages.
Through tutoring, Katie naturally found her way into special education advocacy. Parents began turning to her for help with IEPs and school meetings, which led her to pursue formal training through the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA). Advocacy quickly became a true calling.
Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Anthropology from Monmouth University and a master’s in Teaching Students with Disabilities from Pace University. She’s also certified in Gifted and Talented Education through Hunter College, trained in the Wilson Reading System, and is a trained advocate through COPAA.
She brings both knowledge and heart to her work, with a deep commitment to helping every student feel supported, understood, and empowered.
